Prayers

Dear Lord, You, who taught Saint Charbel how to be rooted in monastic vows which he lived in absolute silence and neutrality, conforming his life to Yours, help us to commemorate him and meditate his heroic and extraordinary life by telling him :

St. Elias : you who are the living model of justice, mirror of Sanctity, defender of the Faith, advocate of the poor, vindicator of widows,

Heavenly Father, it is sometimes easier for me to keep my distance than to take the first step in reaching out to someone in need.

Loving God, For flowers arrayed in splendor And the sound of morning birdsong, I give You thanks and praise.

Lord Jesus, You are our Savior, Willing to suffer though You do not sin, Eager to lighten our burden with Your mercy.

Lord Jesus, Humbly I ask, in my imperfect faith, For the blessing of Your Holy Spirit's grace: To profess eternal truth that is You, In the words I say and in all that I do.
