Compassionate Savior, During this time of Lent, I recall that in the desert You overcame temptation.

Loving Savior, During this time of preparation and penance, May prayers, almsgiving, and fasting be for me A sacred pathway from ashes to Easter.

Today, I ask for grace, In everything I do, To take notice of my blessings And be filled with gratitude.
