Prayers

Lord Jesus, Through Your grace, a blessed gift, May I continue to hunger and thirst For You, who nourish and uplift, Knowing and loving the least one as first.

Govern by all Thy Wisdom, O Lord, so that my soul may always be serving Thee as Thou dost Will, and not as I may choose.

Lord Jesus, With the month of September drawing to a close, as I look back on these past several weeks, help me to see that in every circumstance, You are behind me all the way.

Heavenly Father, May all of Creation give You glory, Especially humankind, For we have the choice to be true To the reason we came into being.

Lord Jesus, Please grant me hope in times of hardship, Faith in Your promises, life-giving and true, Belief in Your love unfailing, And desire to share these gifts coming from You.

Heavenly Father, The effects of my words or deeds or prayers May be invisible to me, And yet I believe that goodness will come If, in faith, I let You work through me.

Heavenly Father, For all who are suffering, I pray For spiritual comfort anew.

You have already shown the way To those who hunger and thirst.

Loving Lord Jesus, When I look ahead, may I seek to follow where You lead, whether among people who may ask something of me, a quiet place where I might pray, or acceptance of the comfort You offer because You have known the spectrum of human emotions and focused on love that all people need.

Lord Jesus, In this time of changing seasons, May You find me changing, too, For I long to be a better disciple, Ever more closely following You.
