Thanksgiving Prayer

On this day, may I put aside Cares that weigh on heart or mind, Allowing room for happiness And gratitude, for I am blessed.
 

In the traditions handed down, May insightfulness be found, Recalling now the desire for peace Shared together at harvest feast.

For loved ones here and gone before, I pray and yet one thing more: Lord, who showed us how to live, Much thankfulness to You I give.
