Prayer in the time of Lent

Lord Jesus, You who opened the ears of the deaf and loosened the tongue of the mute with one word: "Ephphatha". 
 

Open the ears of our hearts to hear Your voice, And loosen our tongues to proclaim Your glory and truth with love and courage.

Heal our silence when we are afraid to speak, and break the chains that keep us from listening to You and to others.

As You touched the man and raised him up, touch the depths of our souls today, And fill our lives with Your light, that we may be true witnesses of Your grace in this world.
